Northwest Tool Named 2021 Small Business of the Year

The Greater Wausau Chamber of Commerce named the recipients of the 2021 Small Business of the Year Awards at a program held at Athletic Park in Wausau on Wednesday, May 19. The 2021 Small Business of the Year Awards recognized business growth, community involvement and innovative efforts in the Wausau region and was a part of the Chamber’s Small Business Month. https://www.wausauchamber.com/business-week.html Northwest Tool is beyond honored to accept this award.

Production Department

In 2018, we began and expanded our ability to manufacture high run production parts. Our Production department started simply as running some extra parts to help out one of our long time customers. When that proved to be successful, we had the opportunity to take on these parts a bit more long term.

Thank You for A Great 2018

Though we are a few weeks into 2019, we feel it is never too late to be thankful for what the year has given us.  2018 was a big year for Northwest Tool. We are so grateful to have a fantastic group of employees (and their families), vendors, and some awesome customers that help make us so successful. We couldn’t do it without all of these people – so Thank You.

“Building Quality Since 1965”

Northwest Tool & Manufacturing once again had a float in the Wausau Holiday Parade. On November 30th, employees and families of Northwest Tool gathered to hand out goodies and kick off the holiday season along with about 90 other participating organizations.  Our theme was “Building Quality Since 1965,” which included the construction of a gingerbread house. Thank you to Wausau Events for putting on a great parade again this season.  It was a great time!

This job requires ability to setup and operate manual mills and lathes, read and interpret blueprints, and maintain quality and tolerance standards.

October is Manufacturing Month

The month of October is National Manufacturing Month. Manufacturing Month is dedicated to highlighting manufacturing, the opportunities the industry holds, and the economic impact it has. The State of Wisconsin is heavily involved in Manufacturing Month.  This year, they are holding a Manufacturing Tour around the state, in which different business and topics will be highlighted.  Topics include skilled worker shortage, career opportunities, policies, and the impact of the industry.

We have two new open positions with Northwest Tool. Quality Control Inspector: Quality Control Inspector is responsible for checking, verifying, and inspecting products throughout the manufacturing process and prior to shipping to ensure the highest level of satisfaction for our customers. 1st Shift CNC/Manual Machinist: CNC/Manual Machinist is responsible for creating precision manufactured products efficiently to ensure the highest level of satisfaction for our customers.
